Outreach Report: Divine Appointment

As we are just a little more than a week from Passover, we, Messiah of Israel Ministries’ team, were sharing the love of Messiah Yeshua in the beautiful Tel Aviv port. There were many secular and religious Jews who were walking around enjoying the beautiful scenery and preparing for the Passover holiday. It was a wonderful opportunity not only to rejoice with the people for being freed from Egypt, but also to share the true meaning of Passover, Our Salvation, Yeshua, God’s Passover Lamb.

An Orthodox Jew named Golan was with his wife. Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat asked Golan about how he prepares the Passover. After nice conversation, Zev asked: “Do you know what the meaning of Passover is?” Golan responded: “It’s very interesting that you ask me today. I did not want to come here because I felt this place is too secular. I wanted to meet people that are really interested in the Passover, not just enjoying the holiday, but my wife Anat insisted we come here. Now I meet you here and believe this is from God.”  Zev responded: “Amen”.

Golan began explaining to Zev the meaning of Passover, as his wife Anat was listening: “We have been freed from bondage from being slaves in Egypt so we need to rejoice”. “How were we freed?” Zev asked. Golan said: “God sent Moses to deliver the people and had plagues. After the plague that killed all the first born who did not apply the blood on the doorposts, Pharaoh let the people go.” Zev then asked Golan: “So it was by the blood of a lamb that the people were freed.” Golan answered: “Yes”. At that moment, Zev could see he was starting to get uncomfortable. “So blood frees us from bondage?” Zev asked again. Golan said: “No, it was God who freed us from bondage.”

Zev opened the Bible and said to him, “Let’s read what the Bible says”.

Exodus 12:13 –

The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

God has freed us from bondage by the blood of the lamb, as it is written in the Word of God. At that moment, his wife Anat said that does not sound Jewish. Zev with love and compassion responded: “Did we not just read from the Jewish Bible? Golan said: “Maybe. We should leave.” Zev reminded him that he said this was an appointment from God. Golan and his wife both were without words. Praise Yeshua the Holy Spirit took over.

Zev then told them: “Do not let the evil one rob you from the truth, rob you from your Jewish identity, rob you from the true Passover. You see the Passover lamb is not just for freedom from Egypt. Our God sent us the Messiah to free us from all bondage, to forgive our sins and give us salvation; and by His blood we are freed forever. He is our Passover Lamb. Amen”.

Golan asked who Zev thinks this lamb is? Zev responded that he does not think but knows who He is.

Zev asked Golan and Anat: “Who has created all things?” They both answered: “God”. Zev then asked them if they believe in the ten commandments. They replied: “Yes”. “What is the second commandment?” asked Zev. Golan said: “Do not have any other gods.” Praise Yeshua!

Zev then opened the Bible to

Proverbs 30:4

“Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?”
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!”

God is asking: “Do we know who His son is”. The Messiah, the Passover Lamb, is God Himself. Golan and his wife were speechless by their own testimony. They have answered themselves finely. Golan asked Zev to tell him who He is. Zev proclaimed: “He is our salvation, the Jewish Messiah, and our eternal Passover Lamb Yeshua.” Golan told his wife: “It’s time to go home”.

Zev gave them contact information and said: “Seek the Written Word of God and you will see the truth. This Passover is your salvation”.

Zev continued to share the Passover Lamb with many.
