Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat’s Bio
Founder of Messiah of Israel Ministries. Zev was born in Israel into a Sanhedrin Rabbi’s family and raised in Bnei Brak, one of the most Jewish Orthodox cities in Israel.
Zev’s grandfather, Rabbi Pinchas Porat, was a holocaust survivor who later became one of the heads of the Sanhedrin in Israel. Certified as a Jewish rabbi, Zev never truly experienced the presence of God and drifted away from Judaism. But that all changed when Zev had a number of supernatural encounters that brought him to the faith in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus). Led by the Holy Spirit, Zev founded Messiah of Israel Ministries, one of the very few Messianic congregations actively preaching the Gospel in almost every aspect of public life in Israel today. Over the many years, Messiah of Israel Ministries has been reaching Holocaust survivors, IDF soldiers, discipleship programs for new believers (Messianic congregations), Jewish rabbis, Muslim imams, Israeli citizens; as well as international tourists through street ministries in major Israeli population centers and at the Kotel (Western Wall), in addition to reaching many other people through numerous venues with the contextual Biblical truth of Messiah Yeshua.
Zev teaches the Word of God from a unique Biblical Hebrew foundation perspective of faith in Yeshua, and how we can prepare ourselves as the Bride, to meet Yeshua the Messiah in the second coming and New Kingdom.

Zev was the longtime Israeli correspondent and co-Host of Freedom Friday with Host Pastor Carl Gallups, heard on the Gulf Coast from 2002-2022 and continues to been heard nationally and internationally on Alfa Omega TV (Europe), CTN TV (USA), CBN TV (Europe), Skywatch TV (USA), The Jim Bakker Show (USA), Igniting A Nation TV (USA), Atlanta Live (USA), Prophecy in the News TV (USA), CBN TV (Europe), Asian Christian Network TV, EFR Christian German TV/Radio, as well as numerous other radio and television programs globally.
Zev has also been interviewed numerous times on the TV program Why Israel, hosted by Rabbi David Naggi, which airs on Alfa Omega TV, TBN, as well as other networks in Europe.
Zev co-authored the 2019 Amazon bestseller “The Rabbi, the Secret Message, and the Identity of Messiah” (Defender Publishing – USA.). He wrote the book with Amazon top-60 bestseller Pastor Carl Gallups. Zev and his family are directly connected to this amazing true story, one that continues to shake the Christian and Jewish world to this day.
Zev also provided several chapters of important material for Pastor Gallups’ March 2020 Amazon bestseller “Masquerade” (Defender Publishing 2020 – USA) The Foreword to that book was written by Christian songwriter, Hollywood movie personality, and longtime international music industry entertainer Pat Boone.
Zev has also authored two books of his own. Both are published by Defender Publishing – USA. Those books are “Unmasking the Chaldean Spirit” (2022) and “Blood Alliance: (Jan-2024).
He has shared the message of Yeshua through the Biblical Hebrew Foundation around the world, assisting in the establishment of over 100 congregations in Asia.

Interesting Facts
Zev earned a Rabbinic Sanhedrin certificate from the Ponevezh Yeshiva (school for Rabbis) in Bnei Brak, Israel. To the glory of Yeshua, after Zev was born again, he returned the certificate to the Ponevezh Yeshiva. Later, Zev became an ordained Messianic Rabbi (Pastor). He leads many Messianic house groups in Israel, and daily ministry outreaches in Synagogues and Mosques throughout Israel, which has resulted in many Jews and Arabs coming to the knowledge of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) as Lord and Savior.
He has shared the message of Yeshua through the Biblical Hebrew Foundation around the world, assisting in the establishment of over 100 congregations in Asia. Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat has also performed many Messianic weddings.
